Take a breath while you're here.
Four quiet things to do with a spare minute.
In for four, rest for two, out for six — the same slow breath we use in the clinic to settle a busy nervous system. Follow the circle. If it helps to keep time, hold anywhere while it grows and let go as it empties.
Tap the water to set each stone down. Whatever hangs over the edge washes away, and a stone that misses just drifts on downstream. There's no losing — only stacking.
The angle is everything — tap low and far for a flat skimming throw, high and close for a satisfying plunk. Move the pointer to see the arc before you let it fly. Some days you get seven skips, some days two. Both are good days.
Whatever you’re carrying today, set it down for a minute — tap the water to place a leaf and watch the river work: leaves spin in the current, drift around the rocks, sometimes snag a while and then let go, sometimes find each other and travel together. So will you.
